Medical Business Administration
Associate in Specialized Business Degree

This sixteen-month program is designed to provide a strong foundation in the basic principles of business and medical management with specialization in accounting, microcomputer operations, anatomy/physiology, and medical terminology, using the latest technology and software in the business and medical fields. Courses cover the preparation of spreadsheets, graphs, and databases as well as extensive accounting and word processing training. In addition, the course provides for a high degree of training in anatomy/physiology and medical terminology, which are the primary tools for insurance and CPT-4/ICD-9 coding. Graduates are prepared for various entry-level positions in such areas as hospital billing, medical accounting and management of a physician’s office, coding, and medical claims adjusting for insurance.

Medical Assistant
Associate in Specialized Business Degree

This sixteen-month program is designed to provide graduates with skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level medical assisting/management positions. The student will be prepared to function as a clinical and office professional for the physician, or obtain employment as a lab assistant in hospital departments such as x-ray, laboratory and EKG. They will also be prepared to work in such settings as clinics, physicians' offices (front office and back office procedures), nursing homes and hospitals, and lab assistant in ancillary hospital departments.

Medical Transcription Specialist
Diploma Program

This eight-month program provides the student with the skills needed for employment in the entry-level transcription positions in a variety of medical settings. This program is designed to develop competency in skill areas of keyboarding, word processing and medical dictation. It also provides the student with the basic knowledge of computer skills and medical terminology. Graduates will enter the workforce as a medical transcriptionist in any type of medical facility.

Medical Unit Clerk
Diploma Program

This eight-month program provides the student with the skills needed for employment in the entry-level receptionist, medical office and unit clerk positions in the hospital setting. This program is designed to develop competency in skill areas of keyboarding, word processing and medical terminology. Graduates will enter the workforce as medical unit clerks and front desk personnel in any type of medical facility.

Medical Billing Clerk
Diploma Program

This eight month program is designed to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary for entry-level medical billing positions. The students will be prepared to perform functions necessary to running the front desk, completing insurance claim forms utilizing the guidelines required by each insurance entity, and accurately coding the diagnosis and procedure codes for each encounter. These graduates will be prepared to work in such settings as clinics, physician's offices, nursing homes, hospitals and insurance companies.
